the soles of our feet our black and covered with soot.  it doesn't look ashy out, but there are still fires, and I'm sure there are some particles of it in the air. 

the first chunk of my demos are almost complete!  and in the meantime, I'm being really careful to not throw up in my mouth (aka acid refluxing). 

Last night I had some very yummy gelato.  the night was still warm at midnight, and thousands of bikers were clustered together at the end of the block, preparing for their massive "midnight ride".  We spoke to one of them, but she was really condescending.
