Yesterday we had a day off in Nottingham. What a beautiful little city! Everyone's sort of been passing along this cold on the bus, and now I got it pretty bad. I really should have stayed in bed all day yesterday. But instead, I went out and took a tour of Nottingham Castle and its caves and stuff. All of which was very cold, dark, and dank. After the guided tour, we had lunch in an old pub that's built into the hill the at the bottom of the castle. It's a pub where some of the old Kings of Nottingham had a pint or two. Pretty cool!
Back at the hotel, I watched "The Trail Of The Pink Panther" which was basically like a tribute to Peter Sellers, who in my opinion, is the one and only Inspector Clouseau. It was a really sweet film.
I woke up 30 minutes before I was supposed to check out of my room. I'm learning to not depend on hotel wake up calls so much anymore, b/c sometimes.....well, they just decide not to call. Now I'm gonna go take a trip to the laundromat (which over here they're called 'launderettes'). I did my laundry the other day at one of the venues, but the machines were in the kitchen, and instead of my clothes coming out smelling clean and fresh, they smelled like fish. :(
